this video is sooo fucking sick it was made in 1999 or 2000 when i was graduating elementary school. it has some awesome hyde park footage, famous spots from all over boston including some og spots like the volcanoes and turtles. seriously a must watch for any one who has rode street in boston, my fav parts are 3,6, and 7 Massachusetts Locals is hands down best part of the video featuring some of MAs most famous bike shop owners haha

AANNNNDDDDD one of these showed up at my shop the other day which is pretty hilarious because not only do they make the exact same thing as we do using pretty much the same mold but they also used lennys video part song in the edit on the front page HAHAHA(not trying to say any thing bad about ice wax just thought it was funny)

So today our own Brian Nguyen (B-win) left to go on FBM's gypsy tour. Brian's been steppin it up lately and i geuss someone took notice (nick ferreira) and invited him on the trip. A lot of people have been asking how we make the wax so heres A little peek inside the hpv head quarters haha. new summer time wax is bigger (about the size of a brick) comes in Regular for those of us who like to slide but don t like the over killed, over waxed, barely keep your pegs on, ledges and Slick, slides a little bit faster because of a different formula.

Rail Bullshit

This is some real bullshit. The other day the town of Dedham building/permit inspector comes to my house to inform me to remove my rail. For a little back story me and Bwin set up a sick rail about 2-3 feet from the road right down the street from my house in front of some public woods. So of course the first thing on my mind was "why?", why get rid of this rail that isn't causing problems for anyone. He replies that some lady has called and complained multiple times over the last month. This makes me think maybe the grinding is too loud and disturbing people or maybe someone is concerned for my safety. But no way could it be that reasonable, this lady who probably doesn't even live near it decides that she doesn't want to look at a small rail to the side of the road that already looks like its been there for years. And instead of just asking me to move it after seeing me all the time, decides she needs to waste this guys time to "set me straight" and then keeps calling him after "taking to long" to confront me. Some people just suck, and now I have to waste my time removing it while having nowhere to store a 15 foot rail. I hope she thanks me for getting rid of it so I can spit on her feet, until next time I'm out.

Its been a while since the last update and our page views have dropped down to almost 1 per day... which is still pretty good considering what it is. we have been having some major complications with technology failures, last week my hard drive blew up causing the loss of every thing hpv. we were going to surprise you all with a hpv dvd but all of the footage has been lost (we'll come up with some thing better dont worry). if i had any clips of you they have all been lost sorry, i guess thats what we get for saving clips haha and relying on these boxes.

also were working on larger sized wax for the summer street sessions cause weven been going through like 2 of the cupcake size ones a sesh so we know we gotta go bigger.
anonymous comments are allowed now too i didnt know you couldnt before

and if 5 people say they ll buy a shirt in the comments ( 5 different people) ill have just wax it shirts done next week. they aint gona be 20 billz either ill keep them as cheap as possible with out taking a juge loss. you ll get free wax and stickers with the shirts too maybe more.

yeah so we have been slacking on updates for a while but honestly not much has been going on haha. however big new (for us anyways)is on the way. we are expecting new stickers any day now and one of the hat samples for "the hpv spring apparel line" haha should be here next week. we are aware that some of the old gross looking wax that we gave out for free sucks (sorry dudes) but we got some new top secret formulas making the wax much softer and slide way faster. so that's what we have been up too.

- never plan on making an edit, it prob wont work out
- dont save good clips or cut out bad ones, just ones use every thing
- use the first shitty song you hear on pandora
- if you dont have enough clips... just figure it out make it work
- swtich it up try weird editing, use different genres of music, make an interview, recapp of a street sesh any thing works.

If I had to make a list of things that made HP awesome Dk would be in my top 3. Dk had the best stories about guns, beers, tatoos, ATVs, and hookers. This kid was the best combination of white trash and Nacho Cheesier (permanent Dorito fingers).He lived with his crazy grandmother down the street, who for some reason thought I was the bad influence on him. Dk would always ride his bright orange general lee complete with confederate flag and budlight stickers, even though he had a fit edwin at his house. His bars were always a little too chicago and he would always yell FAAAAACCKKKKK YOOOUUUUUU!!!!! for no reason........this kid was the best.

I havnt seen Dk in almost a year, every once in a while ill get a call from him with an update. Last i heard he was spending the summer in Pennsylvania/Maine with Dean his wacko friend who once lit a barrel on fire and attempted to jump it...needless to say he ate it pretty hard. Hopfully Dk will be back this year.

Winter

Riding during the winter is always a tough one. There is usually a ton of snow if there is no snow, its probably wet, if its not wet the ground will be covered in sand and salt. Not to mention the temp is prob below freezing..... but here is how we get by.

- Florida I'm sure the 3 people that check this site know about this one already haha

-Parking Garages. Most of the time these will be dry and at the very least will have a curb or something to ride. Always be on the look out for good ones. There are some in the Boston area that are heated, some that have curved wall rides, metal ledges, benches, stair sets, bank to walls etc. I'm not tryin to blow up spots but keep an eye out there are a lot of good ones.

-Indoor skate parks. Sometimes these can be really fun, but most of the time they just aren't. If you do end up going try to go on a weekday or Sunday morning when there wont be as many people.

-Shovel. Chances are its not going to be snowing every day. Look at the 10 day forecast if its not too cold or snowing that week shovel your favorite part of HP out(or street spot) and shred it.

-Build Some Thing. If you cant find a good garage and don't live too close to a park, hit up lowes buy some shit and make whatever you want, drag it to a shitty garage boom you got an awesome time.

-EFF it. Some times you just have to say fuckit, layer up and go ride street. or do this

Arizona Lemonade only makes an appearance on the hottest summer days at a local hp bodega. These rare gems are part of what makes hp so great, as far as I know there is only one place you can get them. and when they do show up they usually only last the day because they are in such high demand. I have even seen one bought and resold for 2 dollars. For me arizona is always the drink of choice when riding cheap, delicious, thirst quenching, and comes in a tall can you cant lose. If you live in the area and never cruised around Dedham you should probably check it out. Dedham street gets real old real fast (home of over half the hpv riders)but surprisingly we've got some really good spots..... good banks, wall rides, and the best rail hop you've ever seen!
